Who is Foundation Communities?
• Foundation Communities is a
nonprofit organization that empowers low-income individuals and families with
the tools they need to succeed. Our programs include affordable
housing, supportive housing for the homeless or those at-risk of
homelessness, community learning centers, and asset-building opportunities
such as the Community Tax Centers.
Who the Community Tax Centers Serve
• In 2007, we helped 13,550
people in Austin receive almost $13 million in tax refunds and
credits
• Our clients in 2007 came from
all over Central Texas and across many backgrounds and professions.
Clients were predominantly young, Hispanic, single and had low
incomes.

• Paper and electronic tax filing
• Bilingual and sign-language
interpreters
• Prior-year tax return preparation
• Applications for Individual
