Who is Foundation Communities?
• Foundation Communities is a nonprofit organization that empowers low-income individuals and families with the tools they need to succeed. Our programs include affordable housing, supportive housing for the homeless or those at-risk of homelessness, community learning centers, and asset-building opportunities such as the Community Tax Centers.

Who the Community Tax Centers Serve
• In 2007, we helped 13,550 people in Austin receive almost $13 million in tax refunds and credits

• Our clients in 2007 came from all over Central Texas and across many backgrounds and professions. Clients were predominantly young, Hispanic, single and had low incomes.

What the Community Tax Centers Offer
• Paper and electronic tax filing

• Bilingual and sign-language interpreters

• Prior-year tax return preparation

• Applications for Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers
